Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tom Carroll has signed a new deal with the English Premier League side that will run until the summer of 2019.
Carroll, who graduated from the Spurs academy back in 2008, has been on the periphery of the first-team squad since making his first-team debut but following a successful loan spell at Swansea City in 2014 – the midfielder returned with a breakthrough season at White Heart Lane.
The 24-year-old made 30 appearances and scored three goals last season and has since been rewarded for his impact with the first-team squad.
"Time flies!" he told the club's official website after signing the new deal. "It's gone really quickly. I've seen a lot of players come and go and I'm delighted to sign an extension and see what this season brings.
"We've had a lot of home-grown talent come through the system in the last few years and now there are younger lads coming up again and it's great to see their faces with the senior squad.
"We've a top squad here full of international players, so it's hard but you have to keep your head down, keep working hard every day and see where it takes you.
"I know if I get a chance I have to take it."
