Norwich vs Wigan - Robbie Brady back in the Norwich bunch

Robbie Brady could be available when Norwich welcome Wigan to Carrow Road in the Sky Bet Championship.

The Republic of Ireland international lasted just 12 minutes of Saturday's 3-2 home win over Cardiff before suffering a quad injury.

But boss Alex Neil has confirmed it is not as bad as first feared although he is a "major doubt", with Martin Olsson, ready to return from a hamstring problem, an able replacement.

Alex Pritchard is pushing for a start while new signing Nelson Oliveira is still building up his fitness and the game may come too soon for him.

Wigan could be without summer signing Nick Powell in Norfolk.

The forward was withdrawn prior to half-time in Saturday's loss to Sheffield Wednesday with a groin injury and Latics are sweating on his fitness.

Deadline-day signing Nathan Byrne, yet to appear at all this season, may have to make his debut for the club having been left out in Yorkshire at the weekend because boss Gary Caldwell felt he was behind fitness-wise.

Caldwell still cannot call on Reece James (ankle), Andy Kellett (knee), Kyle Knoyle (elbow) and Donervon Daniels (knee).
