Wolves vs Barnsley - Wolves boss Walter Zenga considers his options ahead of Barnsley clash

Wolves boss Walter Zenga has plenty of options for the visit of Barnsley with a handful of players hoping to return to the squad.

Kortney Hause, George Saville, Ola John and Romain Saiss were overlooked against Burton on Saturday as Zenga changed the whole front six following the 1-0 defeat at Huddersfield.

The likes of Dave Edwards, Dominic Iorfa, Jack Price and Jon Dadi Bodvarsson, all on the bench at the weekend, are also vying for recalls.

Elsewhere, Mike Williamson is out until next year through injury while Michal Zyro and Jordan Graham (both knee) are sidelined with long-term problems, but Nouha Dicko is close to fitness following a year out with his own knee injury.

Barnsley head coach Paul Heckingbottom could hand striker Adam Armstrong his first start, while defender Adam Jackson and winger Saidy Janko hope to make their first appearances.

Armstrong, on loan from Newcastle, could be rewarded with a full debut after scoring a brilliant winner for Barnsley at Preston on Saturday. Jackson, signed from Middlesbrough, and Janko, on loan from Celtic, hope to be added to the squad.

Midfielder Sam Morsy and defender Cole Kpekawa made their debuts off the bench at the weekend and are expected to be involved again, while Heckingbottom has no new injury or suspension worries.

Defender James Bree (hamstring) remains sidelined as the Reds chase back-to-back away wins.
