Manchester City fans criticise Pep Guardiola for 'disrespecting' Joe Hart

After 10 years at the Etihad, it seems as though Joe Hart's time at Manchester City is all but over.

Pep Guardiola raised eyebrows when he named Willy Cabellero against Sunderland at the weekend, meaning Hart had to make do with a place on the bench.

And if Hart thought he could prove his Spanish manager wrong on Tuesday night during their Champions League qualifier against Steaua Bucharest, he was very much mistaken.

Guardiola, once again, named Caballero between the sticks meaning Hart was amongst the substitutes in Romania.

The decision is probably Guardiola's biggest impact he's had at the club since his arrival this summer and some fans really aren't impressed with him.

They claim he is 'disrespecting' a player that has been instrumental in the club's rise in recent years.

They clearly aren't happy, and it's likely that Hart isn't too impressed either.

GUARDIOLA ON HART

The former Barcelona and Bayern Munich manager admits that Hart isn't happy after being dropped.

"I'm pretty sure he is not happy," said Guardiola, per Sky Sports.

"All the players who don't play aren't sacked, they're absent. Of course, I would not be happy if absent, but now it is 'try again'.

"I am sorry, I have to decide (on the team). We have 28 players. They have to convince me on the pitch."

EXPLANATION

But why has he chosen Caballero over Hart? He's explained all.

"Maybe the next game it changes, maybe not. I needed the build-up and to use the goalkeeper to play quicker to arrive the balls behind the line. Willy had this quality first of all, he trained more times. He arrived on the first day,” he said.

"That doesn't mean Joe can't do that. I know the quality of Joe, he is an amazing goalkeeper. He plays for the national team and he was so important for the two Premier League (title) wins. The personality, the character, I know about."

Hart's City career certainly seems to be coming to an end and their supporters are not pleased with Guardiola's treatment of him.
