Doncaster vs Crawley - Doncaster's injury problems continue

Posted Friday, August 12, 2016 by PA

Doncaster's lengthy injury list shows little sign of easing as they prepare to host Crawley.

One positive for manager Darren Ferguson, whose side have lost their first two games of the season, is that midfielder Harry Middleton should be able to start again after playing the first 63 minutes against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday despite a knee problem.

Midfielder Paul Keegan has been back in training this week following a thigh injury but, like the first two games of the season, this match may come too soon for him.

Luke McCullough (cruciate knee ligament), Mathieu Baudry (Achilles), Gary McSheffrey (knee), Craig Alcock (ankle) and Aaron Taylor-Sinclair (knee) remain sidelined.

Chelsea loanee Alex Davey could make his Crawley debut.

The 21-year-old defender joined the Reds on a six-month loan on Thursday and could slot into the starting line-up.

Andre Blackman serves the final match of his suspension following his dismissal during the Reds' opening-day win over Wycombe. Chris Arthur will continue at left-back in his place.

The Reds have no fresh injury worries.
