Udinese 2 - 1 Fiorentina: Udinese almost certain of Serie A status after beating Fiorentina

Udinese are practically assured of another season in Serie A following their 2-1 win over Fiorentina at the Stadio Friuli.

Colombia's Duvan Zapata set the agenda with a second-minute headed opener for Udinese but Mauro Zarate made it a contest by dragging Fiorentina level in the 23rd minute.

Udinese started the second half with intent and Cyril Thereau duly grabbed a winner in the 53rd minute, the French striker beating visiting goalkeeper Ciprian Tatarusanu with a thunderous drive.

After a campaign of struggle Luigi De Canio's men are now eight points clear of the relegation zone with four games remaining.
