ROMELU LUKAKU would go back to Chelsea because he feels he has "unfinished business" at Stamford Bridge.

Romelu Lukaku has netted 18 goals in 32 Premier League appearances this term for Everton

The Everton striker has told friends that he would be willing to return to Chelsea, despite the fact that they will not be playing Champions League football next year, if the terms were right.

Sources close to the Belgian striker have indicated that there are few clubs that Lukaku would opt for if he left Everton this summer, but Chelsea are one of them.

Lukaku left Stamford Bridge for Everton two years ago in a £28 million deal, frustrated at not being able to force his way past players like Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba.

But the 22-year-old has emerged as potential target for new Chelsea manager Antonio Conte, who wants at least one new striker for his new look team next season.

The problem for Chelsea is that Lukaku would now cost Chelsea around £65m because the club failed to insert a buy-back option on the player when he left them permanently in the summer of 2014, apparently on the advice of then manager Jose Mourinho.

Manchester United, Paris St Germain and Real Madrid are all looking closely at the Belgian international, who has blossomed since leaving Chelsea. Some influential figures at the Stamford Bridge club would willingly take the striker back but they could have had him on the cheap if they had been more canny.
