Ipswich vs Brentford - Daryl Murphy misses out for Ipswich
Posted Thursday, April 07, 2016 by PA
Ipswich will again be without top scorer Daryl Murphy when Brentford come to Portman Road on Saturday.
The Republic of Ireland forward suffered a calf injury while on international duty and remains sidelined.
Midfielder Teddy Bishop and forward David McGoldrick both had run-outs in the goalless draw against Charlton on Tuesday night following their return from injury, but are not expected to be in contention to start this weekend.
On-loan winger Ryan Fraser has been continuing his rehabilitation from a hamstring problem back with parent club Bournemouth, but Town boss Mick McCarthy does not anticipate the Scotland under-21 international to make a return for the Tractor Boys this season.
Brentford will be without John Swift and Leandro Rodriguez.
Midfielder Swift is still recovering from an Achilles injury and striker Rodriguez has a hamstring problem, although he could be back to face Bristol City next weekend.
Boss Dean Smith could therefore stick with the side which saw off basement club Bolton 3-1 in midweek.
Josh McEachran (foot), Lewis Macleod (knee), Philipp Hofmann (back) and Andreas Bjelland (cruciate) are long-term absentees.
