Coventry vs Swindon - Chris Stokes to miss a month for Coventry due to a knee injury

Posted Friday, March 18, 2016 by PA

Coventry's Chris Stokes is out for at least a month with a knee injury in another blow to the Sky Blues' promotion hopes.

The left-back could be replaced by Stephen Hunt while Martin Lorentzson and Sam Ricketts could also fill the void against Swindon.

Goalkeeper Lee Burge is out for the season after shoulder surgery while skipper Reda Johnson remains out with a serious hamstring injury.

Coventry ended a run of four straight defeats with a 1-0 win at Blackpool last week and are three points outside the Sky Bet League One play-off places.

Defender Raphael Branco is a likely absentee for Swindon.

The 25-year-old Brazilian was forced off with a groin problem late on in Town's draw with Millwall last week and is a major doubt.

Midfielder Drissa Traore has been struggling with illness but the club are hopeful he will recover. Yaser Kasim (knee) is a long-term absentee.

Swindon are on a good run of form having won four of their last six games and drawn the other two, while their resilience has been demonstrated by the fact they have come from behind three times.
