Chesterfield vs Walsall - No new worries for Chesterfield manager Danny Wilson

Chesterfield have no new problems as they prepare to continue their fight against relegation at home to promotion-chasing Walsall.

Boss Danny Wilson may name an unchanged team after last weekend's win at Southend - the Spireites' third victory in four matches.

Chris Herd trained on Thursday on his comeback from the hip issue that has seen him miss three games, but the midfielder will probably not be involved against the Saddlers.

Dan Gardner was this week allowed to join League One rivals Bury so there could be a place up for grabs on the bench.

Managerless Walsall go to Chesterfield just days after the departure of Sean O'Driscoll.

First-team coach Jon Whitney is in caretaker charge, previously holding the fort after Dean Smith left in November.

Isaiah Osbourne (knee) is unlikely to be fit for the Saddlers, who are fourth in Sky Bet League One, with the midfielder having been sidelined for the season.

Whitney is likely to have an unchanged squad following Walsall's 3-1 defeat to Barnsley, O'Driscoll's final game at the club.
