Glasgow Rangers vs Greenock Morton - Gedion Zelalem a doubt for Rangers

Gedion Zelalem is a doubt for Rangers' Ladbrokes Championship clash with Morton at Ibrox on Friday night.

The midfielder has been hit with a flu bug, but boss Mark Warburton is hoping to have him fit.

Forwards Michael O'Halloran and Billy King are back after being cup-tied for last Saturday's William Hill Scottish Cup quarter-final win over Dundee, but striker Martyn Waghorn and long-term absentee David Templeton are both still unavailable with knee injuries.

Morton add on-loan Celtic winger Paul McMullan to their squad after he was not allowed to feature in the 3-0 Scottish Cup defeat from his parent club last Sunday.

Luca Gasporotto, who made a return from an ankle injury in that tie, cannot play as he is on loan from the Ibrox hosts.

Knee injuries rule out Frank McKeown, Peter MacDonald and Alex Samuel with Michael Tidser missing with a groin problem.

Conor Pepper is a doubt, with manager Jim Duffy saying: "We were competitive against Rangers on our last visit to their place and earned a draw. If we are to do anything this time out then we need to be as competitive again."
