Raith Rovers vs Queen of South - Raith Rovers may be without quartet against Queen of the South

Raith Rovers could be four players down when fellow play-off contenders Queen of the South visit. David Bates (calf) and Lewis Vaughan (knee) are ruled out while Louis Longridge and Ryan McCord are both struggling.

The Kirkcaldy side defeated St Mirren 4-3 at the weekend and while manager Ray McKinnon was delighted with the success he is looking for improvement against the Dumfries men.

McKinnon said: "We played well at times on Saturday but then stopped doing what we had been doing to get us in front. Queens are an experienced side and if we veer of course against them we could pay a heavy price."

Queen of the South manager James Fowler has Derek Lyle available after injury with the on-loan Alex Harris also returning after missing out on the 1-0 win over his parent club Hibs.

Andy Murdoch came off the bench to hit the winner against the Edinburgh side to leave Fowler spoiled for choice as he explained: "I watched Raith at the weekend and I am glad I have a good number of options available to help us get the win.

"They will be looking to increase the advantage they have over us whereas we know that a win gets us right back into things so it should be an exciting game."
