Huddersfield Town vs Reading - Huddersfield's Sean Scannell aiming to make first appearance since January

Huddersfield winger Sean Scannell is hoping to make his first appearance since early January in the home game against Reading.

Scannell is expected to return to head coach David Wagner's squad after missing the last 11 matches due to a knee injury.

But Wagner will be without the suspended Philip Billing, who sits out the final game of a three-match ban, and fellow midfielder Jonathan Hogg (knee).

Back-up goalkeeper Joe Murphy remains sidelined after missing Saturday's 2-0 defeat at Derby due to a shoulder problem, while midfielder Emyr Huws (ankle) and Joel Lynch (hamstring) are still out.

Hal Robson-Kanu will be missing for Reading after picking up an Achilles knock against Fulham.

Boss Brian McDermott hopes the Wales winger, who scored both Royals' goals in the 2-2 draw, will be fit to face Crystal Palace in the FA Cup on Friday.

McDermott will rest other players in preparation for the quarter-final but could welcome back striker Matej Vydra after a hamstring injury.

Captain Paul McShane will be assessed after he missed out through injury against Fulham.
