Shrewsbury Town vs Coventry - Shrewsbury wait on defensive duo
Posted Monday, March 07, 2016 by PA
Shrewsbury could be without defensive duo Zak Whitbread and Jermaine Grandison when they host Coventry.
The centre-backs are doubtful with Whitbread struggling with a hamstring injury which forced him off in the 1-0 win over Doncaster after 27 minutes.
Grandison has missed the last three games with a hip injury and Dominic Smith is set to deputise.
James Wesolowski is close to a return from a knee injury while Crystal Palace loanee Sullay Kaikai is pushing to start.
Coventry boss Tony Mowbray is searching for the winning formula after three straight defeats.
Aaron Martin is available following an ankle injury with the Sky Blues having dropped out of the Sky Bet League One play-off places.
Goalkeeper Lee Burge is out for the season following shoulder surgery last month while skipper Reda Johnson also remains sidelined with a serious hamstring injury he suffered earlier in the campaign.
Mowbray told a press conference: "The balance between artists and soldiers is proving a little bit difficult at the moment but I'm sure that win is just around the corner."
