Falkirk will be without Conor McGrandles when Queen of the South visit.

McGrandles suffered a double leg break at Morton last weekend, while Peter Grant is out with a knee injury.

Manager Peter Houston saying: "We had to dig deep to get our win at Cappielow and we will need to dig deep to defeat Queen of the South.

"We are back in the mix at the top of the table as a result of Morton beating Hibs. We want to take advantage of that although I recognise that there has been very little between us and Queen's in the two games so far this season."

Queen of the South miss Lewis Kidd through suspension with Dale Hilson not yet ready to return after a foot injury and Derek Lyle doubtful.

However, on-loan Andy Murdoch is available after not being allowed to play against parent club Rangers last Sunday.

Manager James Fowler said: "This is a very tight league where every team has something to play for. We did well against Rangers but lost and slipped down a couple of places as a result. That shows how competitive things are in the play-off pack.

"Falkirk do not lose many goals or games at their place but we will be looking to change that."
