Alloa Athletic vs Livingston - Flannigan back for Scottish Championship basement clash

Posted Friday, February 26, 2016 by PA

Basement side Alloa entertain second bottom Livingston with Iain Flannigan available after a back problem.

Jason Marr has shrugged off an ankle injury but Isaac Layne is a doubt and Michael Chopra remains out with ankle trouble.

Manager Jack Ross is keen for his side to carry on with the instructions he gave them when he joined in December.

Ross said: "I wanted us to be competitive and to close the gap. We have been and we have closed the gap.

"This game gives us the chance to go just one point behind Livingston and have a platform for the rest of the season."

Livingston striker Gary Glen is a doubt with a groin problem but Craig Sives is back after nearly six months out with a hamstring injury.

The Lions, who won 3-0 at the Indodrill Stadium earlier in the season, have not placed any extra emphasis on winning this one.

Manager David Hopkin said: "We would open up a bigger advantage on Alloa if we won but it is not a be all or end all game. Every game between now and the end of the season will be difficult as every team has something to play for.

"Winning would be great but we have to start doing so consistently."
