Brechin City 1 - 2 Dunfermline: Leaders Dunfermline beat Brechin

Posted Sunday, February 21, 2016 by PA

Dunfermline remain eight points clear at the top of Ladbrokes League One after a 2-1 win at Brechin.

Josh Falkingham's side-footed finish put the leaders ahead in the sixth minute only for Brechin to level after 17 minutes when Robert Thomson headed home Willie Dyer's corner.

Ben Richards-Everton slotted in from close range following Michael Paton's free-kick to put Dunfermline back in control five minutes before the break and they should have made it 3-1 just before the hour mark when Paton shot over with the goal at his mercy.

The Pars continued to waste chances and they were grateful to Sean Murdoch for keeping out Andy Jackson's late effort as they held on for all three points.
