Sheffield Wed. vs Brentford - Sheffield Wednesday to check on Sam Hutchinson ahead of clash with Brentford
Posted Friday, February 12, 2016 by PA
Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Sam Hutchinson is an injury doubt for the home game against Brentford.
Hutchinson was forced off early in last week's win at Birmingham with a knee problem and faces a late fitness test, while fellow midfielder Kieran Lee will also be assessed after missing out last week due to a back injury sustained in the warm-up.
Glenn Loovens remains sidelined with a groin injury so Vincent Sasso is expected to resume alongside fit-again Tom Lees in central defence, but goalkeeper Keiren Westwood is expected to be fit after being replaced by Lewis Price at Birmingham due to a knock.
Aiden McGeady, on loan from Everton, is hoping to make his first Owls start at Hillsborough after his full debut last week.
Brentford will again be without Alan McCormack.
The midfielder missed last Friday's 3-0 defeat at Brighton with a calf problem but is due back in training next week.
The Bees have been boosted by the return to training of striker Scott Hogan, who has been out since August 2014 after two cruciate injuries.
Defender Andreas Bjelland remains sidelined as he recovers from his cruciate injury.
