Bolton Wanderers vs Rotherham United - Pratley, Madine and Clough hoping to be back

Posted Friday, February 05, 2016 by PA

Bolton trio Darren Pratley, Gary Madine and Zach Clough are all hoping to return to contention for the home game against Rotherham.

Skipper Pratley and striker Madine both missed the midweek draw at Wolves due to back injuries, while Clough is closing in on a return from a hip problem which has kept him out of the last five matches.

Veteran striker Emile Heskey stepped off the bench at Wolves after more than a month out with a calf injury and is also in contention.

Young striker Kaiyne Woolery made his first start of the season on Tuesday night and is hoping to feature again. Max Clayton and David Wheater (both hamstring) remain sidelined.

Rotherham are unlikely to be able to call on any of their injury victims for the vital clash.

Lee Frecklington (hamstring), Aimen Belaid (groin), Leon Best (groin) and Stephen Kelly (calf) are not expected to be fit.

Midfielder Andrew Shinnie should earn a start in place of Paul Green, while Luciano Becchio is an option if boss Neil Redfearn wants to change system.

Bolton could close to within one point of the Millers with victory in a game of huge importance at the bottom of the table.
