Port Vale vs Swindon - Port Vale lose Ryan McGivern to suspension for Swindon clash

Posted Tuesday, February 02, 2016 by PA

Port Vale will be without the suspended Ryan McGivern for Tuesday's Sky Bet League One home clash with Swindon.

Defender McGivern serves a one-match ban after being sent off in Saturday's 3-0 loss at Wigan.

Another absentee will be goalkeeper Chris Neal, who on Monday joined Doncaster on a 28-day emergency loan.

Midfielder Chris Birchall and winger Enoch Andoh (both knee) remain sidelined.

Swindon have re-signed Louis Thompson on loan from Norwich until the end of the season and he goes straight into the squad.

Thompson is set to play alongside brother Nathan, who came through his first start since September over the weekend with no problems.

Midfielder Yaser Kasim is likely to be involved at Vale Park after speculation over a move to Swansea never materialised.

Defender Brad Barry was forced off in the defeat to Barnsley with a migraine but should be available.
