Burton Albion FC vs Shrewsbury Town - Burton to check Stuart Beavon and Shane Cansdell-Sherriff ahead of kick-off

Striker Stuart Beavon and central defender Shane Cansdell-Sherriff should be fit for Burton when Shrewsbury visit the Pirelli Stadium.

Both players picked up knocks in the 2-0 win at Coventry last weekend but Brewers boss Nigel Clough is optimistic about their chances of playing on Saturday.

On-loan Derby striker Mason Bennett will probably once again be on the bench but should he join the action the teenager would be making his home debut for the League One leaders.

Defenders Tom Flanagan (appendix) and Darius Charles (hamstring) are stepping up their recoveries from injury but are still a few weeks away from returning to first-team contention.

Shrewsbury boss Micky Mellon has no new injury problems to contend with.

Goalkeeper Jayson Leutwiler is closing in on a return to first-team action after recovering from the broken nose and concussion he suffered in an FA Cup tie against Grimsby in December.

Leutwiler still has not trained without a face mask but Mellon would be happy to call on him if needed.

Abu Ogogo could return in a fortnight but defender Anthony Gerrard has left the club.
