Queens Park Rangers vs Wolves - Conor Washington added to QPR squad for Wolves clash

Posted Friday, January 22, 2016 by PA

QPR can add Conor Washington to their squad for the visit of Wolves.

Rangers snapped up striker Washington from Peterborough earlier this week to replace Charlie Austin following his B£4million switch to Southampton.

Goalkeeper Rob Green is fit after a spell out through illness, but with speculation mounting over the former England International's future this month Alex Smithies may be preferred again.

Boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink will be tempted to stick with the side which won 3-0 at Rotherham last weekend to register their first win since he took over.

Michal Zyro will miss out for Wolves because of a calf problem.

The Polish midfielder joined Wolves at the start of the month and has proved an immediate hit, scoring three times in the last two matches.

Zyro joins winger Jordan Graham on the sidelines, with the winger ruled out for up to a year after damaging knee ligaments in the defeat by Cardiff last weekend.

Goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez (thigh) is also out but striker Bjorn Sigurdarson has recovered from a back problem and Adam Le Fondre is back in the squad having been ineligible to face parent club Cardiff.
