Man Utd Transfer News: Guardiola shock talks denied, Bayern star snubs move, Bale blow

Manchester United have denied they have opened talks with Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola.

L'Equipe claim the former Barcelona boss met with United representatives in a Paris hotel last week.

But the Red Devils denied the meeting took place with the Spaniard, who is widely expected to take over at Manchester City for the start of next season.

The news will not please Louis van Gaal who has a contract at Old Trafford until 2017.

Bayern Munich superstar Thomas Muller has snubbed a move to United.

The Germany World Cup winner is still on the radar of Van Gaal despite failures to sign him last summer.

Muller recently signed a new contract to keep him at the Bundesliga club but that hasn't deterred the Red Devils in making a swoop.

Club president Franz Beckenbauer is confident the German will be going nowhere though.

He said: "Thomas has assured us he wants to continue at Bayern."

A leaked document has revealed Tottenham have the first option to sign Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.

The Daily Mirror report that if any Premier League club have a bid accepted for the Welshman before June 30, 2019, Spurs will have 72 hours to match the offer.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino said: "I think if we have the option to sign him - why not? He's a great player and a player that can improve our squad."

Bale has scored 52 goals in 109 games for the Spanish giants.
