Klopp revealed his admiration for Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger, but he is relishing the challenge of getting the better of him at Anfield tomorrow.

He said: "Arsenal and Arsene have their own style, it's possession football, so it's clear that if we want to play the same way we will be without a chance because they've been doing it for longer.

"Arsenal are not only a good possession team, that's the problem, they have good counter attacks too and that's what you have to be aware of.

"It's a job but it's a really nice job to think about solutions and how to stop them coming through with their plan. I like things like this.

"They are beatable. It is not easy, but it's possible."

Wenger is coming up to 20 years as manager of Arsenal during which he has won three Premier League titles and six FA Cups.

Klopp went up against the Frenchman in the Champions League during his time at Borussia Dortmund with each of them coming out on top once with two draws.

The Kop boss added: "It is an absolutely amazing achievement and my respect grows day by day because it's really intensive in the Premier League, especially with a team with international matches too.

"My respect has grown since I arrived for the brilliant job he's done, a high quality manager, one of the best in the world.

"It's rare to do this over such a long period. It's always a challenge to play against him and again a challenge I'm looking forward to."

Mamadou Sakho should return from a knee injury to ease Liverpool's defensive woes with Martin Skrtel and Dejan Lovren both out with hamstring problems.

Kolo Toure is also expected be fit after sitting out the FA Cup third round draw with Exeter with midfielder Lucas ready to step in at the back if needed as he did against Stoke in the Capital One Cup last week.

Skipper Jordan Henderson could feature for the first time in 2016 after overcoming his heel problem but Daniel Sturridge is still not ready to return from a hamstring injury.
