Alan Pardew has ruled out a move for former Tottenham, Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid striker Emmanuel Adebayor.

Reports in the media this week suggested that the Eagles and Watford were keen to land the 31-year-old, who is currently a free agent and training on his own.

Yet, alongside many other names linked with Palace since the start of the transfer window, such as Charlie Austin, Loic Remy, Khouma Babacar and Jonjo Shelvey, Pardew has extinguished any hopes for Adebayor.

"Every player that I've seen linked with us - and I've seen that link (with Adebayor), there is no truth in it," said the boss.
