Luis Suarez: "I didn't mean to stand on Abdennour"

Luis Suarez was the centre of attention during the draw between Valencia and Barcelona because of two high-profile second-half incidents.
One of them was his calm finish from Lionel Messi's pass in the 59th minute after he brushed off Aymen Abdennour's challenge. Having got the better of the Tunisian, the striker hit a fierce shot past Domenech at the near post. The opening goal, which the Uruguayan celebrated by urging the home supporters to be quiet, was excellent, although it should have been ruled out for offside.
The other one occurred just a few minutes earlier when during a scuffle with Abdennour, the Valencia defender went down after the Barcelona striker stepped on his foot, but the referee took no action. Luis Suarez later analysed the incident and explained it was accidental: "I didn't stand on Abdennour's foot on purpose. I turned around, I stepped on him and that's why I apologised".
