Louis van Gaal on coaching Man United: 'I don't do anything'

Manchester United boss Louis van Gaal has confessed that all the specialized training help at his disposal has boiled his job responsibilities down to two critical elements: delegate, and earn a lot of money.
Speaking at the LMA annual conference on Wednesday, Van Gaal, who hailed himself as an innovator in the game, revealed his breakthroughs have since been outsourced, which now leaves him with little to do as manager.
"Feedback is very important, of course. But I have to say that because when I don't say that then I'm arrogant!," Van Gaal said.
"I am also an innovator, and I have changed a lot in terms of preparing for games. I was the first coach who was with a notebook. Now everybody is with a notebook. I was the first coach who used video.
"I'm from a time where you [the manager] did everything. Now I'm the manager and I have a sports science department, I have a scouting department, I have a medical department, I have assistant managers, I have assistant coaches.
The Manchester United support staff has lightened Louis van Gaal's load.
"I don't do anything -- nothing! I delegate. I delegate, and I earn a lot of money."
Van Gaal's side currently sit fourth in the Premier League table, two points off leaders Manchester City.
They return to league action on Saturday, when they visit Watford at Vicarage Road.
