Burton Albion FC vs Peterborough United - Tom Naylor ruled out of Burton's FA Cup clash against Peterborough

Tom Naylor is a new absentee for Burton as they prepare to host Peterborough in the FA Cup.

Naylor received his fifth yellow card of the season during the league win at Oldham last weekend and he will miss the first-round tie through suspension. Fellow midfielder Robbie Weir will sit out the second game of his three-match ban.

Damien McCrory has missed the last two games because of illness and then a hip flexor problem, and it looks like the left-back will remain on the sidelines.

Central defender Shane Cansdell-Sherriff (groin) returned to training on Wednesday and could come back into the reckoning while Darius Charles played 45 minutes for the reserve-team this week and is making very good progress on his return from a broken leg.

Peterborough defender Gabriel Zakuani faces a late fitness test on a hamstring injury.

He was forced off the field early in Posh's victory over Doncaster two weeks ago and missed last weekend's defeat by Coventry.

Striker Marcus Maddison's knee injury is expected to see him miss out again.

But defender Jack Baldwin could come into contention almost exactly a year after he damaged knee ligaments.
