Real Madrid didn't believe Keylor was a good goalkeeper

Capello spoke to Spanish radio station 'Cadena Cope' for their preview of the Champions League match between Real Madrid and PSG.
The Italian spoke about how the Whites are playing. "Under Rafa Benitez, Real Madrid are doing things very well, they're playing good football."
However, the manager acknowledged that there are some curious statistics, such as, "in most matches their best player is the goalkeeper. I've seen Navas play and he's a good goalkeeper. They didn't think he was, which is why they tried to sign De Gea. Now they've found out and he's putting in impressive performances."
