Hibernian stay in third place in the Scottish Championship after a 4-2 victory against Dumbarton secured them a fourth home win of the season.

Dominique Malonga fired Hibs in front in the first half and although Grant Gallagher equalised a minute later, further goals from Liam Fontaine, Jason Cummings and James Keatings made sure of the points before Steven Craig headed Dumbarton's second.

Malonga converted Lewis Stevenson's cross in the 21st minute, but the home side's lead lasted just over 60 seconds as Gallagher fired into the bottom corner.

Fontaine restored Hibs' lead when he headed home John McGinn's cross in the 26th minute and Cummings converted from the spot two minutes before half-time after Dumbarton midfielder Darren Barr had handled in the area.

Hibs defender Stevenson was again the provider for Keatings to fire in the home side's fourth goal on the hour and although Dumbarton substitute Craig headed home Mark Docherty's 74th-minute cross, the result was never in doubt.
