Fleetwood Town vs Coventry - Steven Pressley set for early Coventry reunion

New boss Steven Pressley will take charge of Fleetwood for the first time against Coventry - the club that sacked him last February.

The Scot was hired by the Cod Army on Tuesday but adopted a watching brief for the Johnstone's Paint Trophy game against Shrewsbury that night and his first game at the helm comes against the Sky Blues, whom he managed for 100 games between 2013 and 2015.

He will be without right-back Conor McLaughlin, who could play for Northern Ireland against Finland on Sunday evening after being named in their squad despite being suspended for the clash with Greece at Windsor Park.

Striker Declan McManus is in the Scotland Under-21 squad and will also miss out, while the long-serving Nathan Pond (ankle) remains sidelined.

Tony Mowbray will hope to welcome Marc-Antoine Fortune and Chris Stokes back at Highbury.

Striker Fortune did not travel to Yeovil in midweek after receiving a knock on his foot while Mowbray revealed Stokes, another absentee in the West Country, has been battling on through the pain barrier in recent weeks.

Reda Johnson should be involved after being rested for the long Tuesday trip along with Romain Vincelot, who had an operation in the summer.

However, Mowbray will again be without England youth internationals Adam Armstrong, Ryan Kent and Bryn Morris.
