Manchester City will be looking to maintain their perfect start to the Premier League season when they welcome West Ham to the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.

Five wins from their opening five games sees the Citizens sitting atop the league standings with a four-point lead over the chasing pack.

Manuel Pellegrini's side have also yet to concede a goal in the top flight this term, while they have breached opposition defences on 11 occasions, the same amount of goals scored by the Hammers thus far.

Despite claiming the surprise scalps of both Arsenal and Liverpool already, Slaven Bilic's men have been inconsistent in their opening five encounters, losing to top-flight newcomers Leicester and Bournemouth.

Monday's 2-0 win over Newcastle has moved the east Londoners up to fifth place, six points behind early pace setters City.
The hosts will be without inspirational skipper Vincent Kompany this weekend as the centre-back recovers from the calf injury he suffered in midweek against Juventus.

However, Pellegrini is boosted by the news that striker Sergio Aguero is available once again after shaking off a knee injury, but Samir Nasri, Fabian Delph, Pablo Zabaleta and Gael Clichy are all sidelined.

Bilic has a few injuries to contend with too as Angelo Ogbonna became the latest casualty this week when a hamstring problem forced the defender off against the Magpies.

Ogbonna joins Joey O'Brien (calf), Alex Song (ankle) and Enner Valencia (knee) on the sidelines, although Mauro Zarate and Pedro Obiang could return to the matchday squad.
