Connor Smith and Jack Jebb could make their Stevenage debuts in the League Two clash with Plymouth.
Smith signed a short-term loan deal from Watford this week and Jebb joined following his release from Arsenal and both could start with Dean Parrett (calf) out and Chris Whelpdale (ankle) doubtful.
Chris Day is likely to return in goal with Jesse Joronen on international duty with Finland, while Dale Gorman is also away with Northern Ireland.
Steven Schumacher (hamstring) and David McAllister (knee) are both out for another two to three weeks, Ronnie Henry is still absent as he recovers from mumps and Ben Kennedy is continuing his rehabilitation following hip surgery.
Plymouth are again without striker Reuben Reid and midfielder Josh Simpson for the game at Broadhall Way.
Reid has missed the last two matches with a hamstring injury while Simpson has been hampered by a groin problem.
Ryan Brunt is expected to continue leading the attack in the absence of Reid.
Defender Oscar Threlkeld, who made his debut off the bench in midweek after signing on loan from Bolton, could come into contention.
