Marseille suffer opening loss

Marseille made a disappointing start to what could be a difficult Ligue 1 campaign with an uninspiring 1-0 home defeat to Caen.
The visitors were hoping to extend their unbeaten league run at the Velodrome to four matches having secured a 3-2 win there last season.
That outcome looked more likely when summer signing Andy Delort sent a sublime finish beyond Steve Mandanda on 27 minutes to stun the home crowd.
Having lost Andre-Pierre Gignac among a raft of summer departures, l'OM looked to Michy Batshuayi for a reply but the young Belgian was guilty of wasting a hatful of chances as Marcelo Bielsa's team finished the game goalless.
