Akpom joins Hull on loan

Championship outfit Hull City have announced the signing of striker Chuba Akpom on a loan deal from Arsenal for the upcoming season.
Having previously spent loans at Brentford, Coventry City and Nottingham Forest, Akpom is the second Gunners player to head to the KC Stadium on loan this off-season following the earlier acquisition of midfielder Isaac Hayden.
The England youth international featured prominently for the Gunners in the club's pre-season tournaments but was expected to remain on the fringes of the first team, prompting Larsen Wenger to send the youngster out on loan once more.
"I'm really happy to be here and I'm looking forward to helping the team push for promotion," Akpom told the Tigers' official website.
"Hopefully we can be successful and I can help with that. We're going to be one of the stronger teams in the Championship."
