Despite admitting his unhappiness at Old Trafford, Angel Di Maria has rejected claims that he wants to leave Manchester United.

Di Maria not looking for exit

The Argentina international arrived from Real Madrid in a British transfer record £59.7 million deal, penning a five-year contract with the Red Devils.

However, a rocky spell of form saw him drop down the pecking order at the club as he ended the season with just three goals in 27 appearances.

And, after admitting that he was upset with the situation, he denied that he was looking to leave United this off-season.

"I'm not thinking like that. In Madrid there were times when I was whistled around the stadium but faced it and then it turned around. I like to deal with things," he told Argentine publication Ole.

"I started well, with goals and assists. I was having a good time, until I was out. It's a little hard to explain why I do not play."
