Ray Parlour believes Jack Wilshere will stay at Arsenal this summer – because he ‘loves the club’.
The Gunners midfielder, who scored two stunning goals during England’s 3-2 victory over Slovenia on Sunday, has been linked with a £30million move to Manchester City.
The 23-year-old was fined £40,000 for leading anti-Tottenham chants during Arsenal’s FA Cup victory parade, and former Emirates favourite Parlour claims the midfielder's love of the club will see him remain in north London this summer.
“It’s a massive season for Jack Wilshere,” he told the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show. “He needs to stay injury free, that’s the most important thing.
“We know how much ability he’s got but he needs to stay fit. You can see the potential he’s got.
“I think he’ll be an Arsenal player next year, he loves the club. I’m expecting him to have a key role next season for Arsenal.”
