Real Madrid still top UEFA's club coefficient rankings, although having just won another Champions League title, Barcelona are closing the gap.
The Catalan giants racked up the most points this season (38,042), five thousand more than Real Madrid. That leaves them 7,000 points adrift of Los Blancos, who have accumulated 171,999 points over the past five seasons which are used to put together the rankings.
Bundesliga's champions, Bayern Munich are third, a little over 10,000 points adrift of Barcelona, whilst Chelsea are fourth, just ahead of Atletico de Madrid who have climbed to fifth.
Italy's Champions League finalists, Juventus notched up 32,800 this season (second only to Barcelona), leaving them fourteenth in the overall rankings.
Valencia, who did not feature in European competition this season are twelfth, whilst Europa League winners, Sevilla are in twenty-third place. Villarreal and Athletic de Bilbao are twenty-ninth and thirty-second respectively.
