Lazio's veteran forward Miroslav Klose has declared his intention to remain at the club for the 2015-16 campaign.
Reports in the Italian media had linked the 36-year-old with a return to Kaiserslautern this summer, the club where he started his career.
However, Klose, who is tied to the Rome-based outfit for another year, said on his club's official Facebook page: "To play another season for Lazio is a decision that I made with the heart.
"My family and I are doing very well in Rome and at Lazio.
"The fans are amazing and pass on their love and warmth to us every day.
"They are truly unique.
"I also want to give my support to our coach (Stefano Pioli), who is a very special person, and to the whole club, to continue to develop the club's image with a positive and winning path."
Klose, who retired from the national team shortly after helping Germany win the World Cup in Brazil last summer, joined Lazio from Bayern Munich in 2011.
He finished as Lazio's top scorer in Serie A this season with 13 goals while he also set up six more in 34 league appearances for the Biancoceleste.
Lazio finished third in the standings to qualify for next season's Champions League preliminary round.
