Tottenhams first summer signing Kevin Wimmer believes the club is the ideal place for young players to develop.
Spurs paid FC Koln £4.3m for the services of the 22-year-old central defender last month in their first piece of business of the close season.
Wimmer started 32 of Koln's 34 Bundesliga matches last season and joins a Spurs side which conceded 53 goals in 38 games.
The Austria international is looking forward to making the transition to the Premier League and feels he is in the perfect place to progress as a young player.
"Tottenham is a really big club with a lot of tradition and is one of the biggest clubs in England," he told Sky Sports News HQ.
"I've been watching the Premier League ever since I was a small child and especially last season I saw a lot of Tottenham games.
"The atmosphere in the stadium was incredible and the supporters are very good and very emotional.
"It's great to play in a stadium like that with the fans on your back and pushing you. I'm really looking forward to it and it's a good place to be for young players."
