Luis Enrique: It's been a historic year

Luis Enrique was overjoyed following his team's triumph in the Champions League final. Nevertheless, the win hasn't put paid to the uncertainty surrounding his immediate future, and the Barca coach refused to be drawn on the subject and limited himself to saying: "I still haven't made up my mind".

Depsite saying a few days ago he would put off making the decision at the end of the season, the Spanish coach wasn't giving anything away when he said: "My aim is to enjoy the here and now." Nonetheless, Luis Enrique admitted he never imagined such a glorious flurry to end the season. "I never thought we'd win the treble. It never occurred to me. But we've improved some aspects of our play and it worked," he said.

Luis Enrique was extremely proud of his players: "The best thing is that they are all winners, a united group that enjoy what they do and thrill the fans." The Barca coach stressed the team's impressive stats and finished by saying: "This is the 70th match of the season and the 60th win. It's been a historic year and a difficult year. I'm very grateful to all those people that stood by me and thought I could do a good job here and I dedicate this to them."
