Brechin City 3 - 0 Dunfermline: Trouten at the double for Brechin
Posted Sunday, April 19, 2015 by PA
Alan Trouten scored twice as Brechin strengthened their Scottish League One play-off place with a 3-0 home win over 10-man Dunfermline.
Ross Millen was sent off for the visitors following an off-the-ball incident with Trouten after just 13 minutes and by the half-hour mark he made them pay.
Trouten, restored to the starting line-up, opened the scoring in the 25th minute, producing a right-footed finish into the corner after Andy Jackson teed him up.
He then doubled his side's tally four minutes later, this time scooping high into the net from close range - his 16th goal of the season - after Pars goalkeeper Ryan Scully could only parry Jamie Masson's shot.
Jackson added a third in the 64th minute with a well-taken strike - his 13th goal of the season - with Pars substitute Faissal El Bakhtaoui hitting a post.
