Raith Rovers 1 : 3 Cowdenbeath - Nish treble downs Rovers

Posted Thursday, April 09, 2015 by PA

Colin Nish grabbed a hat-trick as Cowdenbeath eased their relegation fears with a 3-1 win at Raith.

The former Hartlepool striker doubled his goal tally for the season to lift his side five points clear of second-bottom Alloa.

Nish opened the scoring in the 33rd minute after Rovers failed to deal with a cross from Martin Scott.

He struck again midway through the second half with a neat finish from Robbie Buchanan's cross.

And Nish completed his treble with 10 minutes left, reacting quickest to convert Jon Robertson's corner from close range.

Mark Stewart headed a consolation for Rovers from Christian Nade's cross two minutes from time.
