Charlton Athletic vs Blackburn Rovers preview - Addicks hopeful on Henderson

Charlton are hopeful goalkeeper Stephen Henderson will be fit to face Blackburn.

Henderson had to go off at half-time during the 2-1 win against Cardiff last Saturday after twisting his ankle, but he has since resumed training and will be assessed ahead of kick-off.

Defender Tal Ben Haim could return to the squad after injury but Franck Moussa, Johnnie Jackson and Rhoys Wiggins are still out.

Winger Moussa is still struggling with a knee problem, midfielder Jackson has a leg injury and left-back Wiggins remains sidelined by calf trouble.

Blackburn manager Gary Bowyer has confirmed Jordan Rhodes will start despite speculation surrounding his future.

Rhodes put aside talk of a mooted loan move to Middlesbrough ahead of a multi-million pound summer switch to score a stoppage-time winner against Bolton on Wednesday night and Bowyer immediately declared he would retain his starting spot at the Valley.

Markus Olsson (hamstring) and Corry Evans (dead leg) were first-half casualties in that game and both will be assessed, but Bolton loanees Alex Baptiste and Jay Spearing do have permission to play again.

Shane Duffy (knee) and Jason Lowe (foot) are definitely out, while the fixture is likely to come too soon for Josh King (hamstring) and David Dunn (calf), and club captain Grant Hanley (calf) will not be rushed back with Rovers having kept three clean sheets in their last four outings.
