Guingamp vs Lille OSC preview - Corchia and co revel in win

Lille defender Sebastien Corchia believes victory over Lyon last weekend has left his side "liberated".

Les Dogues dealt a shock 2-1 defeat to the Ligue 1 leaders at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy, their first defeat in 12 matches.

And while many will be looking towards Lyon's reaction, Corchia is more interested in the positive effect the result had on the victors ahead of their trip to Guingamp on Sunday.

"In our heads the win against the Lyon has done much good," he said.

"This helps us to approach the game with Guingamp in a more liberated manner.

"The key for us now is to take maximum pleasure on the pitch and win more games."

But a renewed sense of freedom at mid-table Lille does not equate to a lack of caution about forthcoming opponents.

"It is never easy to go and play at Guingamp and we expect a tough game," he added.

"They are a team who are are ramping things up and though they have many strengths, we too have strengths."

Meanwhile, Lille's injury probems show no signs of abating, with Kevin Koubemba, Rio Mavuba, David Rozehnal and Jonathan Delaplace all struggling for fitness.

Guingamp head into the game buoyed by winning a place in the last four of the Coupe de France, though humbled by the manner of their win.

They edged past amateur side Concarneau 2-1, needing an injury-time free-kick from Claudio Beauvue to spare their blushes.

Boss Jocelyn Gourvennec admitted it was not a satisfactory performance.

"They embarrassed us, they came for us," he said.

"I was still a little shaken at the players at half-time, because we suffered a bit from their impact.

"We got the decider in injury time, a beautiful goal from Claudio, and it would have been a big regret not to make the most of the opportunity on this occasion."
