Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is planning a summer transfer raid on Serie A.
TARGET: Rodgers is keen on securing Miralem Pjanic from Roma
The Kop boss has revived his interest in Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic who is valued at £25million.
And Anfield scout Barry Hunter has also brought Radja Nainggolan and Keita Balde Diao to the attention of the Reds chief.
Ex-Barcelona striker Diao, 19, has caught the eye at Lazio but would also cost around £25m.
Belgium international Nainggolan, 26, is regarded as one of the best midfielders in Europe but the Roma man has a £25.9m buy-out clause.
And as Rodgers races to replace USA-bound Steven Gerrard, one Anfield legend has told the Northern Irishman he has several players ready to take over the captain's armband.
Jan Molby reckons Emre Can has emerged as a real contender to take over as skipper after Gerrard leaves for LA Galaxy.
The great Dane said: "While I think Jordan Henderson will be the next captain, Can is certainly a captain in waiting."
"I was unsure on him at first but he's shown he's got a bit of everything and I'll be amazed if he doesn’t become a top player."
