Raith Rovers vs Dumbarton preview - No worries for Raith

Posted Friday, January 16, 2015 by PA

Raith are at full strength for the visit of Dumbarton.

Goalkeeper Kevin Cuthbert and midfielder Liam Fox are back in manager Grant Murray's plans after injury.

Murray said: "I am pleased to report that the players who were doubtful earlier in the week due to illness are all available. We started the season with a good strong performance and a win at home to Dumbarton and it would be good to do that again in our first home game of 2015.

"A win moves us further above Dumbarton in the table and keeps us looking at the clubs up the way and not the ones underneath us."

Dumbarton head east without Mark McLaughlin (back) and Jordan Kirkpatrick (hip), with Chris Kane dropping out after his loan deal from St Johnstone expired.

Manager Ian Murray said: "We lost 5-1 to Hearts last weekend but there will be no hangover from that game.

"It was played in dreadful conditions and whilst Hearts deserved their win there was little to be critical of my team for due to the weather.

"If we win this one we go back above Raith again and will give everyone a real boost. We won the last game between the sides and we can win this one as well."
