Portsmouth vs Burton Albion FC preview - McCallum in Pompey's squad

Portsmouth can add rookie striker Paul McCallum to their squad for the visit of Burton.

The 21-year-old has joined on loan from West Ham for the rest of the season.

Midfielder James Dunne is fit after a knee injury and forward Tom Craddock is edging closer to a return after his long-term knee problem.

But Wes Fogden (knee) remains sidelined while veteran frontman David Connolly has been released and right-back Danny East has been loaned to Aldershot.

Burton will travel to the south coast with an unchanged squad.

Lucas Akins made his return from a five-week absence with an ankle injury as a substitute in the home win over Mansfield last Saturday but the winger is not yet ready to start a game, according to Brewers boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink.

"I don't think Lucas is ready for 90 minutes yet but he's getting there," said the Dutchman. "He's trained hard this week and we have put him under some good stress, so he's getting fitter."

Central defender Shane Cansdell-Sherriff (calf), winger Alex MacDonald (knee) and goalkeeper Dean Lyness (broken leg) remain unavailable.
