Stirling won for just the second time in the league this season as they made it two victories from as many visits to Stenhousemuir with a 2-1 success.

A 5-4 win at Ochilview in August was the club's only previous win in League One this campaign and goals from Craig Comrie and Gordon Smith ensured a first victory for manager Stuart McLaren.

Comrie opened the scoring in the 24th minute when his deflected strike from the edge of the area found the bottom-right corner.

And six minutes later it was 2-0 as Smith dribbled his way into the area before slotting beyond Greg Fleming.

Colin McMenamin halved the deficit 10 minutes before the break, firing into the roof of the net from close range.

Alan Lithgow was denied by Greg Paterson from a corner before Ross Meechan forced another save from the Stirling keeper but the visitors held on.
