Peterhead 1 - 4 Stranraer - Blues march on after four-star romp

Posted Sunday, December 14, 2014 by PA

Stranraer's unbeaten run continued as they thrashed Peterhead 4-1 in Scottish League One.

The Blues last tasted defeated in the league in August and recorded a third successive victory to move them up to second in the table.

However, their afternoon did not begin well when they fell behind to a brilliant fourth-minute goal by James Stevenson.

Frank McKeown's header from a free-kick levelled matters 11 minutes later before a second-half blitz took the game away from the hosts.

Grant Gallagher's close-range finish put the Blue Brazil behind for the first time in the game and Craig Malcolm's header made it 3-1.

Stranraer then scored for the third time in 13 minutes when Christopher Aitken added a fourth.
